SERMON NOTES Shannon Huetter, Lead Pastor THE WORD OF “TRIUMPH” John 19:30 March 29, 2020 When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. J​ ohn 19:30 BIG IDEA:​ We have victory over s​ in​ because of Jesus’ triumph on the c​ ross​. THE DEBT We were spiritually b ​ ankrupt​. (​ Romans 3:10-12) The debt was i​ nsurmountable​. ​(Colossians 2:13-14) We earned d ​ eath​. (​ Romans 6:23) THE DELIVERANCE We have been delivered from God’s ​wrath​. (​ Romans 5:8-10) We have been delivered from spiritual d ​ eath​. (​ Ephesians 2:1-3) We have been delivered into the ​kingdom​ of God’s Son. ​(Colossians 1:13-14) QUESTIONS TO PONDER When you realize that Jesus freely gave his life for you, how will you respond? How does the gift of grace impact your life on a day-to-day basis? How can we walk in freedom knowing that our debt is canceled?
